    CAPABILITIES - Web Development Process

Our Web development process begins with a capabilities meeting with the client. In this meeting or, I-Discovery Workshop, we determine the technical assets, literature assets, what the current environment is and try to understand the client's internal processes. We then formulate the results of this meeting into a Scope Document, which lists the timeline, costs, requirements and a breakdown of responsibilities for the entire project. This document is then presented to the client for approval.
After the Scope Document is approved the OOI team, which consists of a project manager, programmer and graphic designer meets to determine the content collection and plan. The database design and schema is established and a look and feel for the website is discussed. Several Web design layouts are created and presented to the client, including a home page and interior page templates. Usually modifications are made to the design at this point and the final look is completed.

Once the look of the Web site is finalized and database programming can begin as well as general content input and copywriting. During the building of the Web site, if there are many applications, then each application will be presented to the client when completed. As different sections are completed, beta testing begins. When the entire site is complete it is tested once again and proofread for quality assurance.

The final part of the process involves launching the Web site. Once the site is "live" we register it in the top search engines, provide training to the client if necessary (usually when CMS is used), 24/7 support is provided as well as redundant hosting services.
